The Down Association of Canada is a not-for-profit organization that has been actively supporting the Canadian Down & Feather industry since our inception in 1976.
Canadian Down & Feather Manufacturing and Processing companies join our association voluntarily. They support our mandates, engage in consumer education plus participate in the continuous development of the highest quality standards and sustainability.
No Canadian company has to join us, they choose to!
They choose to support consumers recognizing Canadian quality by including the blue DOWNMARK® label sewn into their products.
Our Active Members choose to volunteer their time and industry knowledge towards our Associations long-established global industry commitments where we have actively engaged in for the past 49 years. We support consumers learning all about the benefits of Down & Feather as a natural, biodegradable material. It is a product fill choice that has been proven in an independent study conducted by the IDFB to be an 85-97% more environmentally friendly choice than synthetic material fill.
